If you are experiencing Stress or Anxiety join me @lifeaddictsstudio in person March 7 at 7 PM -8PM so we can intentionally move our bodies as we address weight gain, depression, and mood swings caused by anxiety and mild depression POST COVID. Research indicates yoga can aid Anxiety and Depression by reducing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and releasing your breath. Kayla Morgan is here to move alongside you as you rediscover your. (GRIT) Discover the power of Grounding, Restoration, Identity, and Transformation (GRIT), an empowering six-week grounding practice for healing from trauma. This model invites you to reconnect with your body through bodily movement, meditation, and therapeutic journaling as you explore your relationship with yourself and transform the narrative of your life. WHAT IS A TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA CLASS? An opportunity to take a yoga class with a trauma-informed yoga teacher. Your teacher will: be informed about triggers, flashbacks, dissociation states & overwhelming emotions make space for you to step out of any practice and any class attend to dynamics of safety, especially as they might effect trauma survivors . WHAT A TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA CLASS IS NOT. TIY classes are not therapy participants will not be asked to share their trauma histories or to process their memories do not offer interpretations of a client experience - clients are often vulnerable to accepting someone else's story about them to offer this practice we do not need to know what has happened to you & we will not ask you . Facilitators practice alongside a client, genuinely noticing sensations & trying to make their own authentic choices.
